Make technical displays accessible
Provide the dimensions and weights of equipment, models and demo units. Plan sightlines, staff access, cable routes and storage before placing meeting furniture. Confirm floor loading and operating permissions through the current show manual.
What is the difference between freight and drayage?
Freight moves your exhibit to or from the designated delivery point. Drayage, also called material handling, covers handling at the show site under the appointed contractor’s terms. Ask which legs, handling services and return arrangements are included, with an allowance for the confirmed shipment rather than an assumed flat fee.
Are rigging and electrical services included?
Include hanging-sign weights, power loads and outlet positions in the brief. Eligibility, providers and charges depend on the show rules and booked space. Request separate lines for electrical orders, rigging, installation labour, cleaning and internet; do not assume a rental design includes them.
Start with your booked footprint
A 10×20-foot inline booth needs different sightlines and access from a 20×20 island. Send your open sides, booth number, budget, product list and meeting needs. Ask to review a relevant portfolio example and the written scope before approving production.
